If you want carrier bags with a logo print in a sustainable version, bags made from sugar cane are a really good solution.

The bags are at least 85% plant-based, and they are produced from surplus material from sugarcane production in Brazil. The material is transported by ship to Denmark, and then the actual bag manufacturing takes place in Denmark.

Bags made of sugar cane are just as durable as ordinary plastic bags, which can be used again and again - even when it rains. When the bag is worn out, it can be recycled and turned into plastic again. The bags will always be printed with an I'm Green logo in the corner, which shows that they are NOT made of plastic - but of plant material, even if it is very difficult to tell the difference.

The minimum quantity is only 5,000 pieces if you want your own logo printed on the sugar cane bags.

Sustainable printed bags

A responsible alternative to sugarcane bags is bags made from recycled plastic. The recycled plastic originates primarily from residues of plastic production in Denmark.

It is relatively cheap to recycle residual and waste products from plastic, if only we have sorted our waste well and thoroughly. Therefore, bags with fully or partially recycled materials are cheaper than newly produced bags.

The disadvantage of using recycled plastic bags is that this is not approved for direct contact with food. Carrier bags made of recycled plastic also have a slightly more uneven surface, which is why the print does not cover quite as well as on " virgin " bags, but it also gives a signal that you, as a store, signal responsibility with your packaging.

Neither sugarcane bags nor reusable plastic bags are biodegradable or compostable. But they can both be recycled and used again and again.

The minimum is 5,000 if you want logo printing on recycled plastic bags. If this is too much, we have white carrier bags made of recycled plastic in stock, where you can just buy a single box.
